The third XF6F was fitted with the 18-cylinder 
P&W 2800 radial engine with a turbo-supercharger 
and a 4 bladed prop and designated XF6F-2. 

The new engine produced 1850 HP at 34,000 feet while 
the standard engine produced 1500 HP at 26,000 ft.

Projected top speed was 412 MPH at 34,000 feet.
